JUMPSTART IS “BEST OF WEDDINGS”  

JUMPSTART, the high energy variety dance band from Austin, TX has made quite a reputation for itself performing at wedding receptions.  Because JUMPSTART is in a class of its own when it comes to delivering variety dance, they have literally become the “Toast of Texas” when it comes to wedding performances. 

According to Mike “Style” Murillo, band leader, JUMPSTART is a premier wedding band because it delivers a full range of music that is sure to please everyone, from grandma and grandpa to the most discriminating of musical tastes.  How is this possible?  With highly skilled musicians, a full horn section, male and female lead vocalists, and the sheer versatile nature of the band.  The band is known to perform songs ranging from Frank Sinatra and Louis Prima, to George Strait and Toby Keith, to the Blackeyed Peas and all points in between – including Latin and salsa!   

For each wedding, they make available services such as options for Cocktail/Jazz set; special songs selections; customization of playlist to suit the event and the guests; ceremonial music; and even a DJ to keep the party rolling while the band is on break. All of these features and services that JUMPSTART provides has led them to being selected by The Knot.com, its brides and vendors, as the “Best of Weddings” Band for 2010.  The coveted award is set to be announced by The Knot.com on January 21, 2011.  The Best of Weddings recognition is a tribute to “the Best of the Best” in a category.  Murillo says it is “quite an honor to receive this award and recognition, since there are so many great bands out there!”
