The battle cry “Remember the Alamo” will take on new meaning on the 172th anniversary of its namesake’s fall on March 6, 2008. While remaining true to its Texan origins, the sound likely to be heard in Austin Texas March 6 is “Remember the Posse East!”The Austin iconic bar and grille located at Duval and San Jacinto streets will be celebrating its 37th anniversary by serving up a party for all. The Posse (as it is affectionately known) will feature dance music by the Austin variety dance band JUMPSTART (www.jumpstartmusic.com) along with other surprises.The siege begins Thursday, March 6 at the Posse East (2900 Duval St., Austin) at 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. No one expects Santa Anna to make it, but do look for other interesting guests!
