JUMPSTART HEADS WEST! Southwest Texas, a region on earth that was once thought of as the “bad lands of Texas” is presently a developing plain that sports ranching, hunting, oil and now – musical entertainment. JUMPSTART, a variety dance band from Austin, Texas played host to a huge audience for Valentine’s Day 2009. The event was actually a wedding that could have been written up in People’s Magazine or highlighted on Entertainment Tonight. There were many “who’s who” attending and enjoying the evening along with other area residents that made the evening – and the event – sparkle and shine like the west Texas moon rising over the Medina River. The attendees were a mixed group in terms of age and musical tastes. JUMPSTART fit the bill perfectly since the band performs such a wide variety of dance music that virtually touches all genres of music. This event in particular, wanted the band to do more 50’s/Elvis Presely songs along with conventional country-western songs. No Problem! “We can play it all” is JUMPSTART’s motto. All the guests had a great time by any measure. The dance floor was full from the 1st open to all dance until the last. The first set alone went nearly two hours! Everyone was impressed with the bands professionalism and musical talent. The event coordinator said “we have never had anyone like JUMPSTART play down here before! Ya’ll are GREAT. I want to bring you back on a regular basis!”JUMPSTART livened up southwest Texas with its own brand of high energy-variety music. It is for sure that the Cisco Kid would have hung up his guns and danced the night away if he were around today!Congratulations JUMPSTART on achieving another milestone!
