JUMPSTART FLIES HIGH WITH THE U.S. AIR FORCE! “Off we go into the wild blue yonder of fun and dance” was the theme for JUMPSTART, a variety dance band from Austin, TX, as they performed for a reunion of U.S. F-4 Air Force pilots. The reunion took place locally in Austin and JUMPSTART was featured to provide a variety of fun, dance, and party-music. The reunion spanned a time frame from the late 1960’s thru the first Gulf War and the guests musical tastes varied from oldies, to rock, to salsa. JUMPSTART took the crowd to “mach 5” with a rich blend of high-energy dance music. Songs such as Cheap Trick’s “Surrender” as performed by JUMPSTART ignited the crowd’s after burners while the band’s performance of the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody” brought the crowd back for a smooth landing. A memorable moment was when one of the retired pilots – who is also a performing musician – took the stage to perform with the band. “Mustang Sally” and Browneyed Girl” could be heard up and down Lady Bird Lake as JUMPSTART and their cutting edge horn section backed-up the one-time flyer! According to the reunion’s organizer and former Air Force pilot, “the party was a success because of the variety and energy JUMPSTART brought to the occasion! “We hope they will fly with us again in the near future!” The band’s performance was stellar! Look for JUMPSTART to soar into to a party or club near you soon – or, ask your favorite event coordinator about them. JUMPSTART is “excellence in musical entertainment!” www.jumpstartmusic.com
