The City of Elgin, Texas – home of the world renowned Elgin Hot Sausage – hosted a “Concert in the Park” featuring the hot sounds of JUMPSTART, a variety dance band from up the road in Austin, Texas. JUMPSTART is truly a “variety band” as many of the spectators proclaimed after hearing the band perform two entertaining sets of dance music.  The concert was put on by the City of Elgin Parks & Recreation Department, the Austin Federation of Musicians, and other local sponsors.

JUMPSTART is known in the Austin and surrounding area as one of the premier wedding bands as well as a high energy party band!  That is one of the reasons that JUMPSTART is featured on the Austin/Hill Country area Wedding Channel as one of the few bands that delivers high quality entertainment for all ages.  When the band boasts that they can “perform it all” – they are right on target!  Nine musicians, which includes a full horn section, dynamic rhythm section, male and female lead vocalists that deliver a powerful ensemble of style, energy and a variety of flowing luminescent musical and dance melodies that it is hard to believe that it is real!  But rest assured, it is all performed live by the band.  JUMPSTART does not use canned sequences or prerecorded - digitally modified instrumental enhancements.  What you see is what you get!  That is another reason the band continues to get repeat clients all around the great state of Texas.
