JUMPSTART reigns in a great holiday season of parties and fun!

JUMPSTART, the Austin Texas variety dance band performed to record crowds at various events throughout the 2007 Holiday Season.  According to band leader Mike “Style” Murillo, it was one of the best seasons for JUMPSTART in terms of performances and audiences.

With a sleigh full of holiday songs as well as their rotation of variety dance numbers (ranging from country waltz to cha-cha to salsa to meringue to rock and soulful funk), JUMPSTART had their audiences dancing, tapping, swinging and singing along for a full month of Yule-tide celebration.

JUMPSTART’s 2007 holiday performances started in San Antonio, TX and followed a holiday trail up IH-35 to San Marcos, TX, Waco, TX and ended up in their home town of Austin, TX.  Audience attendance at the memorable Sights and Sounds of the Season festival in San Marcos, TX was estimated by the City Parks and Recreation Department to exceed 30,000 guests!  Even the “Pepsi Generation” was hip to the sounds of JUMPSTART!  Yes, Pepsi-Cola bottling had JUMPSTART perform for their holiday party!  “No Coca-Colas please!  Just pass me a Pepsi!” 

Not to be excluded from the mix, JUMPSTART performed for another University of Texas event making JUMPSTART one of the regular performing dance bands for University of Texas functions in the 2007 calendar year.  It was definitely a great year for all!
